More Cool Things to Do in Denver in the Fall

Blog There are great ideas on things to do in the surrounding Denver area, including things I've never tried! You may notice I contributed to this article as well. It was fun to share about a past hiking trip to St. Mary's Glacier with my friend, Marsha. The aspens were just changing to yellow, the world was reflected in a still alpine mountain lake, and we traversed an actual glacier. Denver at any time of the year is spectacular, but fall has to be near the top - extra Rocky Mountain high.

I hope you get a chance to try a few of these adventures. I'm ready for sweaters, fireplaces, warm drinks, cold noses and the smell of winter coming. After completing the obligatory and wonderful trip to the pumpkin patch in Iowa with my son, I've started thinking about Thanksgiving dinner and the all-important start of the Hallmark Christmas movie season. No doubt some young skier will be stranded in a snowstorm away from her city corporate job to land in the arms of a rugged, but hip, owner of a Christmas-themed mountain resort. Get out the wool sweaters and hot chocolate! Happy fall, y'all.
